Erick Jusino - Founder, Producer, Creative development
Erick received most of his formal education from the Art Institute of Philadelphia, majoring in Video Production and Digital Filmmaking. It was in Philadelphia however, where opportunity within the film industry quickly outgrew the opportunities presented in film school. Erick began working as a Production Assistant on the set of “The Dark Fields” (Which is now known as the film “Limitless”), which led to future projects with NBCUniversal including the television show "Do No Harm” and the film “Safe”. Erick then began freelancing as a production assistant, working on the sets of “Wheel of Fortune” and “The Bachelorette Season 4.” He then transitioned into freelance Videography and editing, working alongside several commercial media companies. It was during this time Erick founded “WaqeUp Films”, a video production company focusing on cinematic wedding films and commercial media. Today, Erick hopes to take the lessons learned in the commercial fields of media production to grow Semilla Media as a powerful tool to bring a voice to underrepresented communities in the digital media and broadcasting sectors.
